Disable Services

Hi and welcome to the Avade IRC Network.

We on AvadeNET has developed a way to actually disable services in your channel, the feature can only be set by the channel founder and can only be removed by the channel founder. To disable services you type like this:

 /chanserv SET #chan NOSERVICES ON

When NOSERVICES is activated services will ignore anything in your channel, topics wont be changed, nicks on the aop+ lists wont be oped(@). Not even /chanserv INFO will work. To remove this mode from your channel you need to type like this:

 /chanserv SET #chan NOSERVICES OFF

When the NOSERVICES settings has been removed from your channel, your channel will start working normally again and you can gain op(@) through chanserv again.

This settings was made for users who dislikes having services control their channels and like bots more than services to control the access in a channel. We would however like to point out that theres a security issue to consider before disabling services that after services has been disabled services will no longer determin whos allowed to be oped(@) through the IDENT setting or automatically reoped through the PROTECT setting.

When activating NOSERVICES feature you literally will get NO SERVICES in your channel and have to rely on your bots and your skills with bots to run the channel smoothly.

Set this option on your channel at your own risk.
